Key Responsibilities |
|
|
Assisting Accounting
Services manager in leading Accounting service team and controlling
ongoing operations to ensure successful achievement of business and
financial goals
30% of Time Providing Financial Leadership
· Direct supervision of procedures and 10 members including specialists,
analysts and assistants to deliver Accounting Services Scope of
Processes.
· Analysis, development of recommendations and presentation of service
metrics and process improvements to executive leadership.
· Recruit and train new finance professionals to deliver and execute the
Accounting Services Scope of processes
· Guide all accounting staff in skill development and provide a point of
contact for Individual Development Plan support. Work with HR, I/O and
Finance leadership to source appropriate training, courses and work
experience relevant to the individual’s needs
· Provide support to Accounting Services staff for critical issues
particularly where key country contacts are involved. Support should
include but not be limited to items including leadership and guidance on
the appropriateness of responses and scope of investigations.
· Proactively lead Accounting Services initiatives.
50% of Time Focused on Ongoing Operations of the Accounting Services
Team
· Develop transition plans for the movement of General Accounting
processes from in-country to the shared service environment
· Execute transition plans to ensure success of defined service
· Recruit and train finance professionals to deliver and execute general
accounting processes
· Directly supervise daily operations of sub-functions within Accounting
Services Team such as Fixed Assets, Cash Application, Balance Sheet
Reconciliation, Inter-company Billing; Cross Boarder Finance, OSE
(Operational Security Enterprise) team.
· Work with the Asia Pacific Finance Country Controllers to improve
performance and address issues
· Monitoring of Seibel statistics on a monthly basis. Drafting and
implementing Action Plans to address concerns.
20% of Time Focused on Cross Finance Function Operational Matters
· Participate in cross function recruiting (including interviews)
· Participate in training identification, selection, development and
implementation across the finance functions relevant to finance
personnel
· Other special projects and presentations as required |

Accounting / Commerce / Business Bachelor’s Degree |

Advanced Excel, Word and Outlook |

【Languages】
Advanced English oral and written
communication (basic Chinese for westerners); Japanese language skill optional but is an asset |

More than seven years experience in
financial accounting process, with some of that in a supervisory role;
Exceptional Finance and Accounting acumen; strong knowledge of SAP or
equivalent is preferred
· Leadership ability to inspire people and obtain results through others
· Strong organizational skills, with ability to manage implementation
projects within tight time constraints
